The Arts Incubator’s Reading Room features curated books, magazines, and archives on South Side art, culture, and history.

Throughout the fall, the Reading Room will also feature books and resources connected to Intentionality, 1960: Whose Dreams?, Chicago artist Candace Hunter’s exhibition in the Arts Incubator Gallery through December 12. 

Enjoy light refreshments, explore exhibition-related materials, and browse resources that inspire and inform Arts + Public Life programming. Visitors can also take home a featured book (while supplies last)!  Whether you're curious about our research or simply looking for a welcoming space to pause and explore, all are welcome.
