First Monday Jazz returns to the Arts Lawn for its landmark 13th season. The September Featured Performer is Clif Wallace Big Band

Launched in 2013, First Monday Jazz is APL's longest-running program, featuring emerging and established Chicago musicians and vocalists on the first Monday of every month.

First Monday Jazz is returning to the Arts Lawn for its landmark 13th season, and we are absolutely thrilled to announce that this year’s program is curated by the incredibly talented Clif Wallace II.

Our September artist is Clif Wallace Big Band

Attendees may start setting up their spots starting at 6:00pm. The program begins at 7:00pm.

We encourage bringing your blanket or a low-profile lawn chair to relax in the front seating on the grass.

For APL events on the Arts Lawn, restrooms are available inside the Green Line Performing Arts Center.

About Clif Wallace Big Band

In, 2018, Drummer/Band leader Clif Wallace assembled an ensemble of peers whom he considers some of Chicago's best in music performance of any genre. Appropriately named the Clif Wallace Big Band, this ensemble performs a repertoire of music that caters to the tastes of virtually that choose to listen and observe.
