Play. Design. Move. brings together the voices, visions, and creativity of the young artists from Arts + Public Life’s arts education programs.
Featuring original work from the Design Apprenticeship Program, Choreographic Arts Program, Teen Arts Council, and Backstage Production Program, the showcase highlights how teens collaborate, experiment, and build community through art.
Our Design Apprenticeship Program (DAP) crew has spent the term mastering the art of steam bending wood — and they’re bringing a live demo to the showcase! Watch raw material transform into sculptural forms right before your eyes.
The Teen Arts Council (TAC) is unveiling a brand-new game that offers a bold, youth-centered perspective on public safety. You’ll not only see the work — you’ll get to play it and connect directly with the teen creators behind the project.
Performers from the Choreographic Arts Program (CAP) will present a suite of original pieces exploring rituals of emotional healing. Through gesture, rhythm, and storytelling, these young artists tap into vulnerability, resilience, and community care.
The Backstage Production Program (BPP) is powering every behind-the-scenes moment of the Teen Arts Showcase — from lighting and sound to stage flow and technical design. Their expertise makes the entire event possible. Come experience the artistry you don’t always see, but always feel.
