We’re back on the Arts Block for the third installment of the Rearview Mirror Sessions!
We will start at the Green Line Performing Arts Center with a lecture by Duane Powell, renowned music historian and DJ, as he brings to life George Benson's music and legacy. After the lecture, we will move to the Arts Lawn for an evening of relaxation on the green with music from our talented musical guest, Larry Brown, Jr.
This program is presented in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Race, Politics, and Culture (CSRPC), Soundrotation, the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, and BrainTrust Management. This project is partially supported by a CityArts grant, and a Covid Arts Recovery Program grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events.
Important Notes
No alcohol consumption outside on the Arts Lawn
Limited chairs available on the Arts Lawn (suggest bringing your own blankets and chairs)
A pre-show reception will be held inside of the Green Line. Light snacks will be available on the Arts Lawn during the performance.
