Asian Improv aRts Midwest’s mission is to build a vital, self-empowered Asian American Community in the Chicago area by advancing the understanding and profile of Asian American cultures through the traditional and contemporary cultural arts.

AIRMW is dedicated to creating productive relationships with artists, community and institutions in order to produce high quality arts programs that accurately reflect the multicultural, multi-ethnic reality of Chicago and the nation.

Chicago Asian American Jazz Festival features the finest in contemporary Asian American music. Curated by Asian Improv aRts Midwest, national and internationally acclaimed Asian American artists and their collaborators weave together their collective flair to create an improvisational experience.

“Asian Improv Arts Midwest has been working with and collaborating with many southside musicians and artists in the last 25 years, yet our presentations in the southside of the city have been somewhat limited. AIRMW wishes to expand our exposure to the area.”
