Banners on the Arts Block
This fall, Arts + Public Life installed a series of banners along the Arts Block—on the fence outside L1 Commons and on the street poles along Garfield Boulevard between Prairie Avenue and King Drive. The banners celebrate the programs, artists, and community that make APL a neighborhood hub for arts and culture in Washington Park, and invite passersby to pause, reflect, and see themselves as part of this living cultural corridor. They are also an open invitation: to come to a performance, visit the gallery, support a South Side artist, and help shape what the Arts Block becomes next.
