Backstage Production (BSP) is designed to give South Side Chicago youth an introduction to the fundamentals of theater production while giving them hands-on experience in audio and lighting design, sound engineering, and stage management.

Using an array of new skills developed in QLab, OBS, and SketchUp, teens designed scenes, wardrobe, and sound for The Vampire Kiss, a 1-minute play by Shepsu Aakhu.

Razor Wintercastle is an educator, artist, and a long time backstage production crew member. Razor has worked and toured locally and internationally with concerts, films, plays, cruises, expos, and dance companies including Shattered Globe, MPAACT, Congo Square, Deeply Rooted, Muntu, Black Ensemble, and The Goodman Theatre. Razor is very happy to be a part of such an amazing team at Arts + Public Life.
