BSP Summer 2020 Coursework Assignments

Modify Your Design

After reading the script “American v. 2.1: The Sad Demise and Eventual Extinction of the American Negro” by Stacey Rose, students observed designers collaborate for Definition Theater's future production. Students were asked to sketch costume and/or set designs to reflect on the work’s characters and time period.

 Music & Fashion

Students studied the origins of various musical genres and the fashion trends they inspired. The purpose of the activity was to instruct students on the importance of historical authenticity in theater production.

 Personal Reflections

Guided by prompting questions, students were asked to reflect on program highlights, lessons learned, and challenges encountered during the summer term. Click below to watch and listen!
